So officially, Mattamy has succeeded in getting rid of the lineups to buy a home, and created a new debacle of lineups for appointments to buy a home.

Next year, we'll have lineups for appointments for appointments to buy a home.

The site is at Bronte St. and Louis St. Laurent -- just south of the hospital. There will likely be lots backing on to "greenspace" being those storm water ponds, and possibly the future park area though I'm not sure how far out this phase goes.

It would certainly be more convenient for potential homebuyers to offer further info on the website. However, I'm sure Mattamy likes the lineups as that can justify them raising the prices up till the last moment before the sales office opens.

Exactly. They're still deciding on the price to put them at this year. So if 1000 people show up for appoinments this weekend, the price should deline by 10%...

Hey to each their own, i just find it amazing people will line up for hours to buy a house that will be built in 2 years.

i wonder how many are "investors"

The majority of the people I talked to last year were investors. One real estate agent there told me he bought five, and asked if i wanted to buy one from him after closing for 40 k more than he just paid. Quite a few listed their houses right after they closed on them. On top of that, they dont even pay any taxes on their profit, because the current fed and prov government seem to be blind to all of this. Last time i checked, taxes were supposed to be paid. There is one famous mattamy built house on jelnik that apparently was flipped a few months after closing for 100 k more than purchase price.

I'm sure the home owners in the area wish Mattamy would DELINE.
