poor, poor puppy!! our condolences...
whether it's human or animal...i'll never understand why ppl don't a) look or b) stop if they accidentally hit someone/something.....as i'm sure it was an accident and not intentional....
dogs have such a wonderful way of creeping into our hearts and becoming a part of our families...all pets do....but especially the ones who run, laugh and play with us...love us and defend us....i know that the day our puppy goes will be a sad, sad day for myself and my husband...

and to the person who posted that wonderful poem...lovely! wonderful sentiment...
