Many thanks to jambel for scanning the codes!!! So for the online research points to faulty gas cap, the valves around the charcoal canister or the canister itself AGAIN...
Again, thank you jambel!
Just pop in a new gas cap or make sure it's always tight after you re-fuel.
The charcoal canister isn't an urgent item to repair as it's a common problem in a lot of Nissans too, but one thing to keep in mind is that if the check engine light is always on, come e-test time, some shops will refuse to test until you address the problem, but more importantly from a safety standpoint, if there is something else wrong with the engine where the light would otherwise come on, you wouldn't know. For example, some sensor failures can cause immediate engine stalling at high speeds if you don't know that it's a problem - it happened to me in May and it was dangerous!
Just throwing it out there. In Nissans at least, the vent valve commonly fails and it's only a $120 part, but owners end up having to replace the charcoal canister as well because the metal bolts holding the valve to the plastic canister rust and then sticks to the plastic, so there's no way of getting the valve off to replace without breaking the plastic on the canister.
