That's a nice machine, sorry to hear. Were you towing it with the Jeep?

I also have a feeling the hotel bastard clerk was involved.

Good luck finding it. Does one need to buy insurance for those, and if so, will/can you be compensated?

Thanks. I got rid of the Jeep a little over a year ago. I was towing with my Lexus.

The insurance for PWC doesn't cover theft of that type supposedly. Only if it is stolen from a locked garage, or some BS like that. However, I can claim up to $1000 on my homeowners insurance. Big deal, the machine AS IS is worth about $5,000 with the trailer.... at least. Better than nothing though I guess. I still remain optimistic I will get it back. We'll see.

My condolences for the loss of your machine. Just an FYI... you need better PWC insurance!

TD Meloche Monnex has awesome coverage. During the Summer its approx $100/month. with 1 million extended liability and only a $100 deductible. Covers damage on the water, incidental damage (ie. sucking up rocks) or accidents (towing or on the water) Over the winter, since stored in locked garage (its covered as an addendum to the home policy). Come spring, they let you add this full coverage, and terminate it in the fall. If you get your machine back or look at getting another one, give TD M-M a call! We did for our RXP and its been great!

It was stolen overnight from a hotel parking lot in Niagara Falls. We asked the guy behind the front desk three times if there were cameras on the lot and he assured us that there were. In the morning, he told us that the cameras were not on that lot, but on the lot on the other side of the building. He knew why we were asking as the first question was do you have room to park a car and seadoo.

What hotel? I know the hotels don't assume responsibility for lost or stolen items but why would only there be security cameras on selected areas and not others? At the very least, the front desk should have alerted you to the fact that it was unsecured before you parked there so you could make an informed decision even if it meant paying additional funds for parking in a more secured location. Not sure I'd want to be staying there in the future if guests are not really cared for.

The odds are though, even if you did park in a lot that had a camera, the hotel would have the camera watch the whole lot (moving from side to side) which would take out all libaility from the hotel.

It was the Comfort Inn on Lundy's Lane. Right after the clerk told us where to park, I confirmed with him a third time that there were cameras on the lot, which he said there were. It wasn't until the morning when I asked him if the cameras were recorded to which is response was "yes, but there are no cameras on the lot I parked in".

Supposedly, the IHOP next door has a camera on their loading dock, which covers a portion of the lot I parked in. The cop was supposedly going to check out the footage from that camera for the hours it was stolen between. I have not spoken to the cop since, so I don't know if he saw anything on it, or if he has even looked at it yet.

I went to check one camp site on Niagara Falls last year.
They told me - do not leave your boat at the ramp overnight, it will disappear.

Brutal man. I have never been on a jet ski or sea-doo before, but I can tell you that I am probbaly the biggest Superman fan this side of Krypton...I even named my son Clark, so seeing that Superman crest on the back of your jet ski makes me furious to know some low life degenerate is riding around on it...

The good news is that's it pretty distinctive, and if I ever see that jet-ski around Niagara Falls or on Georgian Bay where my family cottages...I'm calling the police...

Up, up, and away...

Even if they did peel off all the stickers, the machine is easily identified by the seat cover (which again, may be the only one like it in Canada).

Here is another pic showing the front as it has the Superman logo there too. Not that I am a huge fan of Superman or anything, but the blue color of the machine combined with the speed of it, the "Powered By Superman" theme seemed pretty cool to me for a machine that is as fast as it is. (68 mph on GPS)

I would still go after the hotel for compensation of some kind. Even if it is a night or two for free. My friend had her window smashed and her (1 day old) GPS stolen in a hotel parking lot and they gave her a free nights stay as compensation.

Thank you very much everyone once again for keeping an eye out. I am checking KJ and CL regularly to see if it turns up there, as suggested.

I will continue keeping my fingers cross and I remain positive that I will get it back.
