I think what we need most of all is to stop making excuses for these little s%$#s who have no respect for anyone or anything. And we need harsher punishments for them and if neccessary with repeat offenders, their parents/guardians as well.
If they're old enough to be out after 1 a.m. as tmcna suspects is when the vandalism occured, then they should be old enough to know better. Bowling alleys, arcades, movies theatres etc. are closed when they usually commit these acts so having these outlets available to them really would make no difference.
