Btw, I have received a letter from Intrcorp, with the attached " Warning Clauses and/or Restrictive Covenants. Seems like this is the agreement between Intracorp(tenants) and the Town of Milton. It states here that the District park will have " major indoor fascilities", could this facility be termed as a Community centre, with swimming pools, ice rinks and others ??

I too got this letter. In essence it's your legal warning/heads up about things people complain about once they move in. Canada post mailboxes, utilities boxes, sound barriers, easements, houses on woodlots that may get paths.
Pass it onto your lawyers after reading it.

Got that letter too on Thursday.

For those of you that didn't get the letter it was mostly commenting on where the mailboxes will be, that there might be future bus stops on Savoline and what lots will have noise barriers or exceed the town of Miltons noise requirements (probably because they are close to main roads). Mostly stuff that if you did your homework is not really a big surprise.

...and considering that our division doesn't take up much space on Savoline so I'm guessing no more than 1 per side, 2 max

Hi Jacksonbk22

Sorry your right about which corner. The commercial property which has always been marked on the sales office map is about 3 acres in size and was approved when the Intracorp Homes development was approved.

This is the more detailed zoning approval which shows the uses, size and setback requirements. See the attached link for the main approval in 2009 which noted the commercial development on Page 18 and the Figure 2 map..

http://www.milton.ca/execserv/agendas20 ... Report.pdf

Regarding the District park there is a need for an additional arena which will be determined later. The public input sessions will be advertised in the Milton Champion, the town website and councillors notices such as through the www.hawthornevillager.com and other discussion forums.

I will be posting more information on both issues as soon as the information is available.

Local & regional councillor
Wards 2,3,4,5 North of Derry road.

Folks, things are moving along well, and hopefully all stay in schedule. For the first phase alot of us will become neighbours soon, so i was thinking how about we plan a meet at the property?

It would be nice to meet you folks and spend some time so we can talk about upcoming plans etc.

I was thinking maybe this Sunday the 17 maybe around Noon? What do you guys think? Just a thought....It sure would be great if Colin could join us as well!

Hi hi09

I can make it for the 17th at noon. You might also want to ask your local councillor Zeeshan Hamid of Ward 8 which is the ward the Intracorp Homes is located in to attend.

I will bring some copies of the report that is going to Council on the 18th to show you where the commercial area is located and what is being proposed. You can also see the work on the new Main St. W. which should be starting the curb work this week. Hopefully the new street should be open before the end of September with an intersection at Savoline into the neighbourhood.

Possibly we can meet in front of the sales office and walk around the area. Zeeshan and I can answer any questions anyone may have.

I am in and I have also sent an e-mail to Zeeshan Hamid about our meet and greet at sales office. I have asked him to post his availability on the forum.

Hi Rohit97 and other Intracorp owners on this forum.

I would recommend meeting with Councillor Hamid and myself in front of the sales office off Tremaine road at 12 noon on Sunday where we can show you the report and plans for the Durland Properties application which is being presented to Council on Monday night at 7 pm.

I cycled the length of the new Main St. W. from Scott Blvd to Tremaine tonight and about 3/4 of the street has now been curbed and is level with Savoline Blvd. I expect with this dry weather and the current progress that the contractors should be paving the street sometime in August with the street opening at both ends sometime in September according to Town staff.

The complicated part is going to be completing the Scott Blvd. end and changing the increasing traffic volume from the old Main St. W. which is to be renamed Given lane west of Scott to the new Main St. W. while the construction is going on.

Stay tuned as there is some real progress being made now and you can see where the entrance to the new district park will be near the construction trailer on the north side of the new Main St. W.
