Hey mcarag,

Yeah, someone's gotta be the optimist :)

Oh, and we'll have to have rotating house warming parties! I know Jaime wants to come over and play on my Wii, so we'll plan a night (or two) for that! lol I know the fiance has already informed me that he has a poker night planned for sometime in February, and I am NOT invited, so he's kicking me out of my own house!

pfft...think i'll stay on purpose!!!

So what happens if you are wrong about this?

The same thing that happens if I am right about it. Nothing. Except a two month delay.

I wish someone from Mattamy would come on here and shed some light for everyone. I bought a 50' home that apparenlty will not be built in the shed. Just crossing my fingers and hoping that I won't get a notice as we close in March 08. It's unfortunate but it seems like that some people who bought earlier than others will be delayed while the later purchasers will not be.

Yeah mcarag, we have a Wii. And an XBOX 360. And pretty much every console except the PS3. lol

Damn, I should bring it over to your place Jaime. Imagine, playing the Wii on that 60" screen of yours!!! haha we'll probably have to stand in the dining room or the kitchen though!

You're right though, haven't heard of any village homes getting delayed so maybe it'll all go as scheduled.

I can't remember if I've posted this or not, but my FBIL had his village home delayed. He's in phase 15 though, but he's the first I've heard to be delayed as well. And he has no reason either. They've already done the foundation, and he was set to close in July. Just received notice last week.

I'm of the opinion that these things happen for the best-I'd rather be delayed than rushed, and by result have my foundation crack, etc.

That being said, I'm inviting all of you to our own housewarming, whenever it happens-we have a PS3 everyone can have a crack at. :) And FI will want a crack at the Wii, I'll warn you in advance (LOL).

Okay, so i also have been wanting to know if the village homes are to be built in the factory, so I emailled Mattamy to ask.

Here was my response

"There are plans for some homes to be built in the factory and the exact models have not yet been confirmed, however, it has been confirmed that the Village Homes with not be contructed in the factory"

So maybe this is why we haven't gotten a delay letter then

I wonder if the Village homes are built in the big house factory? I would think that the village homes would be too big to build in there and transport.

LOL-I bought FI a poker table for Xmas.

Was supposed to be for the new house, but it's already open. :? And in use.

Why wait for the Village Green? Let's just grab some chairs, the table and smack ourselves down in the dirt.

It could work!

I need money for upgrades, lol. :)

Ohhh Mark, you have a Wii too?!?!
I'm coming over to everyones house and playing. I've been dying to try it out!

I've been wondering if the village homes would be built in the factory (as i also didn't think it was possible either) so finally i just sucked it up and asked! haha

As for Semis being built in the factory.
Someone should email Kelly and ask (she always gets back to me quite quickly)
kelly.spencer@mattamycorp.com

I'd be curious to hear the response as so far it only seems like delays for people whose houses are being built in the factory.........

Hmmm
Well I guess there goes the idea that the delays have to do with the factory then?

That's what my FI said as well-he's really excited that there's so many 'young' families in our area. I was telling him about the PS3 and Wii talk-he's like a little boy when it comes to video games.

I'm 25, and he'll be 27 before we move in. I turn 26 6 days after we take possession. :)
