So our good friend Doil did share a interesting little nugget of information - atleast for me - and perhaps the folks who have houses on Savoline's east side...lots 1 - 13 or so..

THe lots immediatley behind us look like they are not going to have houses on them. the way the property demarcation line is the plots imemdiatly behind us got disected diagonally leaving really nothing to build on..so the section of lots whose backyards would join our backyards, will have nothing built on them...not bad if this the way it stays and nothing changes! email me or doil if you want a cc of the drawing -

Yep, I was saying that a few months ago on the blog....but I didn't hear much from anyone. Apparently, Arista will be releasing homes January 14, so it will be interesting to see where exactly they are...I've also read in a Town of Milton report that the land immediately behind us is a residential reserve that can have up to 12 detached homes...so the verdict is still out, i'm afraid.

Spoke with a guy called Brandon - some one on this forum recomended him - talking to him sounds like the guy knows what he is talking about

Brandon - 416 892 6402

Fridge water line hook up - 50
Slide in range gas - 130
cook top - 130
wall oven 120
builtin microwaev with trim kit - 80
diswasher 110

all additional parts required included...if anyone finds anything better let us know...i know I hired a guy few months back to do my dishwasher he did it for 75 but wasnt a great job - so i dont mind paying the extra to someone who knows what they are doing.

there is room for negotiation with this guy - i got him to knock of 50 off my final price.

Perfect, thanks. My mom swears by another guy for gas connection hookup, and he's in Milton. B.C. Mechanical I believe it's called. I'll grab his business card and post on the forum. Tks Hi09

call 1 - 866 216 0045 (may have to dial a couple times) - intracorp has a promo with Cogeco.
Free Phone and Internet for 3 months Free HD/Cable / PVR for 2 months
- no contract / no comittments.

I was already with cogeco, and had a better internet pack then the one offered for free. The one they are giving is 48/mnth, mine is 58/mnth, so they basically gave me 3 months credit against the 58 so i pay 10 for the 3 months period

The phone include free US/Canada calling

best part - i was actually locked on a 12 month with cogeco, but when you go via the new home promo, you are off the contract -as you start net new... so 3 months in if i wish i can go to bell or whatever with no penalty... also they will activate up to 6 phone jacks and 4 cable outlets as part of the free isntallation.....see if it works for you folks..

..g luck
/HI

I'm so glad to be done with Rogers...I know that Cogeco is owned by Rogers, but the service I've heard about seems to be much better...

Who is the gas provider in Milton? Is it Union Energy? Enbridge couldn't find the address in their database...

Electrical - Milton Hydro?
Gas - Union Energy?
Hot Water Tank - ?????

Does anyone know? Thanks

Has anyone moved into their homes yet? If so, are you happy with everything so far?

January 25 is the original projected close date. I didn't receive a notice of delay, and Intracorp's deadline to notify me was October 27, so it looks like it's a 'go'.

Thanks - hoping the move goes well, also. My house was open so I took a look around - a few things need to be changed, and they missed 3 of my upgrades (2 I think are fairly significant), but other than that, I am very impressed with the workmanship. Hope PDI will go smooth - I don't seem to connect very well with the consultant. :? ...my hubby will have to do all the talking :)

Unfortunately they dont actually confirm anything....essentially if you hear nothing from them then that means you are on time....having said that there is a plethora of clauses in your contracts that allows them to drop on your head the old... "sorry we will be late"...mine was slated for Jan 13th - and unless anything goes astray in the next week I will get it on the 13th...g luck.../HI
