My pre-teens are about to play soccer for the first time (ever) and I was trying to find soccer clinic in town before the season starts. I figure a pre-day of some basic training would help with their confidence before playing "seasoned" kids. Anyone know of such a clinic or something similar in town?

I was playing football (soccer in NA, and it sucks) from 7 to 20 (+ ten years), also rowing, skiing, swimming in fast rivers, playing snowballs and doing some crazy stuff at construction zone with another kinds. Never need any “soccer” clinic and mom.
Here is something for you to read.

Are you saying I am coddling my kids by wanting them to take a soccer clinic? My girls are 10 - 13 and have always played outside by themselves, since the age of 4. They were the ONLY kids playing in the snow this winter (on my street) and in the summer they even ride their bikes & rollerblades without helmets (well, not anymore), plus they walk to and from school by themselves .... so they certainly are not coddled my friend.

My post was asking for some soccer help since they've never played the game (nor have I). I can easily throw them onto soccer team (even they don't know the first thing about the game), but I thought an afternoon of some basic help would boost their confidence and help them enjoy the game more - especially around 10-12 year old competitive girls.
