There are two types of them. the most expensive ones are privacy ones that will not only provide full privacy but also darken the room (perfect for bedrooms).

Another inexpensive option, for bathrooms or front doors especially, is "Wallpaper for Windows" which can be easily applied to any glass surface with water. It is similar to peel and stick vinyl but is free of adhesives so easier to remove (although you probably will want to keep it up permanently). You can buy it at Home Depot, Rona and some paint stores and comes in a number of different patterns.

For approximately the same price...you can get Roman blinds from Ikea.. the positive to them is you can sell them later or give away. The paper ones flatten over time or change colour (ie smoke). I know it's for the short term.. but the price is just the same

Roman blind

That's a good find Mike & Christiane.

Does anyone have any experience with these ? Can they easily be cut to fit the width of the window ?
