I have seen in my friends (Mattamy) house they have a decorative stone kinda fence lay out. It looks great :)

You only get a fence if an open side your backyard faces a main street (Clarke, Ferguson, Hearst, etc). It is a standard 6' privace cedar fence (not treated wood). No gate is installed. One od the schedules of your purchase agreement lists the lots that get a fence and the type of fence they will get.
