fellow phase 14ers -

we (my husband, our 2 little boys and i) just bought an albion bay - lot 98. anyone close by? ours doesn't close till march 2007!! it's hard not to start looking at upgrades now..

is it just me, or is there something funny about the grading coming from 14ht line??

yeah the grading looks off....my hubby and I went for a walk there yesterday and we noticed the off skilter potholes. I'm assuming that the potholes are always on level with the streets. If you go to the site right off of 4th line there is a covered pothole fairly level to 4th line...BUT further on west there are a couple of pot holes alot higher up...and I mean elevation!!! At least a couple of meters!! check it out! maybe there will be a neat hill in the neighbourhood...i don't mind really...maybe cuz i'm not right on that streeet.

just so everyone knows when gracie says potholes she means manhole covers from storm sewers..it would be a shame to have potholes before our roads are even built

Hi Norm and Cliff,
Are you allowed to build Lynhurst on a corner lot or did you land up changing to a different lot?

Hi! We are about to make the big decision to move into a home in Phase 14, just off Yates and Thompson.

We would like to say "Hello" to all our potential new neighbours! This will be our first family home and we are very excited about it. :)

Based on the discussions on this board, and having talked to a number of people "on the street" ("Thanks again for your help", to the great couple in the Glenwood on Meagan Street, who took the time to show us around the property and answer some of our questions.), we have a great feeling about the warmth and friendliness of the neighbourhood. :D

We are trying to decide between the Glenwood and the Lyndhurst. Any thoughts? Has anyone in the Lyndhurst found a way of putting the Laundry room on the first level? We were also wondering about how much space people have in their front yards with this model.

Look forward to hearing from you, and meeting you next year!

Kudos to Rick for being a welcoming and well-informed administrator for this site.

Cheers!
Norm and Cliff.

We bought a Huxley b for the same reasons above....we did take a real good look at the Lyndhurst but decided on the huxley. We close in april 2007 and can't wait!

Lyndhurst A here, lot 239, closes in April.

We loved the exterior of the Huxley, but decided the Lyndhurst interior was better suited for us, and the fact it was less expensive, but still larger was a bonus.
One thing we are not crazy about with the Lyndhurst that I'd love to hear from current owners or owners of the Sutherland (same house, old name) is the columns in the dining room. I mean, we like columns, but think they'd be much nicer with a kneewall-height box at the base, as opposed to the column on its own. Has anyone had this done? If so, may I ask about cost? And... if there's any chance you could send us a couple of pics of how it looks, we'd be really grateful.
Thanks!
S.
