We love Cora's for breakfast, but the Meadowvale one is always packed, and a closer one would be great. So I was happy to see that Milton is now listed on their Website under 'coming soon'. Anyone know/want to guess where?

Personally, I think the new plaza at James Snow/Main would be ideal...

Now I would would have to say that you are comparing apples and oranges...
I grew up in streetsville, so I, of course love Bobbys as well, but I don't consider them to be in the same catagory.

Bobbys is my bacon and Eggs place... Coras is my nutella and banana crepe place

My challenge with Cora's is that I always seem to order the same thing...the 1990's Harvest (cinnamon roll French toast, two eggs and a mountain - about 1lb - of fruit). Although their eggs benny's are excellent too. It's the fruit that I think really sets Cora's apart. The prices are certainly higher than just about any other breakfast place, but I think it's still good value.

Has anyone tried Sunset Grill (Thompson/Steeles)? I used to go to the one in the Beaches (Toronto) when I lived in that neighbourhood and was happy to see one in Milton now that I live here.

Ok, so we tried Sunset Grill this morning for breakfast and, among other things, decided it was poorly named for a place not open for dinner (perhaps the Sunrise Grill would have been more appropriate).

There were 3 of us - me, my 3 1/2 year old son and 1 year old daughter. I had waffles with strawberries, my son had chocolate chip pancakes, we shared a side of bacon. One coffee, one chocolate milk ... my daughter shared my meal. I didn't even get the $2.49 pure maple syrup. $24 + tip. Ok, it was tasty, and the staff was very pleasant, and the high chair wasn't sticky but $24.00 for 1 adult and 1 child?? :shock:

I tried Cora's for the first time last week in Oakville (Dorval/QEW) and loved it. Very cute place, and healthy foods like fruits and homemade soups.

my absolute favorite breakfast place is Bobby's in Streetsville. Corner of Queen Street & Brittania. Freaking amazing. Cora's is good, but Bobby's is better

+1 Its a killer, but it tastes damn good. I can't wait to have them open. I find Cora's overpriced and at the Brampton location they are very slow with service.

I've passed by on two occasions (when I made a point of looking), one being last night at around 7pm and it was closed.

Sunset grill is pretty much exclusively breakfast (IIRC the only non-breakfast food they serve are the hamburgers), so they close every day around 3 or 3:30 and aren't open for dinner. They are open, we went last weekend. The burger I got was amazingly good - made with fresh hamburger, not a frozen patty. The breakfasts looked like pretty standard diner fare. My husband enjoyed his pancakes.

I like to call that plaza the snob corner, because there are also $8 ice creams available next door and $5+ specialty coffees at Second Cup. Eating out isn't cheap anywhere these days I find, and $24 is kind of steep for what you got, and it wasn't even as nutritious overall (except for the strawberries) vs. eggs, whole wheat toast, and ham, but at least you can say you tried it out once and liked it.
