well... if you are not worried about the quality of the movie, there are a few ways to do it...

There are a couple DVD recorders available for $160 bucks. Then you so a transfer from your VCR to your new DVD recorder.

You also can't take your VHS's to a copy house, because they are not allow to transfer copyrighted material.

Also your VHS might be protected as well, and copying those tapes might not be an option anyway....
