We'll be starting to use GO more regularly soon for the commute to and from work in Toronto. We figure that's better than always taking the car.

So, I imagine the morning commute to Toronto/Union isn't bad in terms of finding a seat as Milton is at the top of the line, but what times work seating-wise coming back to Milton from Toronto/Union train-wise?

I took the GO train for a full year and it was so full I could barly move on the way home. I took the 5:30 train from Union to Milton and unless you were there when the doors opened to load you in you were out of luck.

In January I went downtown for an interview and I had to stand until Meadowvale. That was the first time I had that happen.

We will be moving to Thomson/Hepburn area in March next year. I am planning to use Milton local transit to go to the GO station and take the train. Any idea about Milton bus service? Is it reliable and how frequent do the buses run?

My experience: GO = Always on time Milton Transit = Good Luck :)

Milton Transit has mostly let me down. Either too late or too early. One time they never showed up! (I think that's when a few busses were out of commission)
