Just go buy some incandescent bulbs (while you still can). Problem solved.

The flicker is a known issue with CFL's.

same t hing happened to me when i switched some lights to timers (outdoor lights) but used energy effecient bulbs. They would flick ALL day and i thought it was the timer. I went to Home Depot to inquire (thinking maybe i needed some special outdoor bulb) and the guy said it is normal for energy effcient bulbs because there is a constant current flowing through the outlet and the EE bulbs need only a little current to "turn on". Anyways, i switched to normal bulbs and everything is fine. I wouldn't worry that its your electrical :)

We've seen the flicker and aren't really concerned about it. We've been told it's due static electricity built up in the tubes. Doesn't bother me any.
