With all the doom and gloom talk of the market these days I thought I would share some positive news. I've been busy and sales are going pretty good! I sold a Mooreside corner townhouse on Gazley last week for $308,000 and the last Mooresides to sell back in November were $292,000 (by guess who??) and $302,000 (by Re/Max) so in this instance prices have actually gone up slightly.
So...there's still hope!

By the way, I need another Mooreside, I've got a serious buyer (and that's not just a sales pitch)

The problem with statistics like the globe and mail uses is that they are averages, so while overall they might drop 8%, a very nice property that has had very tasteful decorating done, is presented well, has little competition for it's size, etc.. may wind up doing a bit better, as Cliff mentions... wheras one bought for flipping with just the standard options and lots of available models might sell for a lot lower than the average.

Personally, I'm happy to hear that someone I consider a good agent is still able to do well in this market for his clients, and demonstrate it with some actual numbers... it's a nice contrast to doom and gloom figures with big overall averages that include both the good and the crappy.
