Just go to sleep and wait till morning then call your builder. It's just a leak, they will come tear down your insulation, take a look where it's coming from. I would call my hot water company to look at the tank. And make a note of this leak in your 10 day, even if they had fixed it. Note it again in your 30 day, stating the problem has been fixed, (if they fixed it) just so that tarion gets a copy.

Most of the builders are way behind schedule with exterior issues. The homes being delivered to buyers at the PDI have no gutters or downspouts, many are missing siding and flashing details, and all of them have not had the lots graded.

With these above issues and with the melting snow and rain, I would not be surprised that many new homes have wet basements.

Make sure the sump system is working properly as there are many that are not. You can tell that whoever is installing the sump pumps and setting them up, left his head, finesse, talent, and common sense at home.

There is one thing you need to do - make sure there's nothing blocking the path from those wet spots to the floor drain because that's where the water will head (or should anyway) if enough accumulates.
Otherwise, as justagirl said, don't sweat it too much. These issues are not uncommon and will be taken care of (builder for foundation leaks and Reliance for water heater leaks).

The day we moved in (which was about 3 days after we closed) out basement got flooded - and yes it was right after we piled a whole much of stuff down there.

It was raining that day and Mattamy didn't yet install any window wells. That coupled with the fact that the grading wasn't complete either, allowed a nice long pool of water to find it's way into the basement right through a window. It was a weekend so I managed to cobble up a home-made window well (and dug out the window) until the following Monday when Mattamy came to fix it.

Sounds like you may have multiple problems, but check for any water flow around your window(s). You'll likely see water stains on the 6-mil poly covering your insulation.
