Geeves
Glad to hear it went well but how did you handle your attic and electrical panel?

Just to let anyone know has there ap't with Mattamy for their year end fixits... we had ours this week. It went great - there were a couple of things that I did not include on the report that I sent to warranty - He said not a problem he would take a look at it and he fixed it for me. He also noticed 5 or 6 things that I had not and he fixed right there on the spot> So my next ap't is with the drywall guy to fix all the drywall issues/nail pops etc. it was a good experience.

Geeves,

Hopefully you still have time to call us for a real New Home Warranty Inspection so you can add the many other deficiencies that we will find to your list.

Don't assume that your builder is performing anything close to a proper home inspection.

Their only concern is to identify cosmetic issues and to get you past your one year Tarion deadline.

I know I am in the business, and I obviously think our services have tremendous value, but I can't understand why many new home buyers spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a home and choose to save a few hundred dollars by not hiring an independent professional to review the home and provide all kinds of detailed information.

Geeves. I can guarantee you that many important issues that are covered for one year, are NOT on your current one year list.
