Sigh...so, both of the screws for our shower drain cover plate worked their way loose and fell into the drain.

Does anyone know what size the replacement screws are ? I have tried both # 6 and # 8 stainless steel machine screws, but they don't fit...

BTW...I don't want to replace the entire assembly, which is all that I seem to be able to find at Home Depot.

Any suggestions ?

Thought of that, but the replacement covers are in sealed packaging..

Not if you er.. uh... find one that has already been opened by some inconsiderate shopper...

Maybe the screws are still in the trap below the drain. If so, you may be able to get a magnet on a string or something and pull them out. Magnets on pointers are also quite common.

Just a thought.
