Hi Sabrina I passed on your concern to the Development permit staff and they are working with the builder to get the lights on similar to Wettlaufer Cr. which just got their lights on. Hopefully will have them on next week. Will keep checking. Colin Best Local & regional councillor Milton/Halton www.colinbest.ca |

Thanks Sabrina for taking this up on forum. Its been more than 3 months that i have been following up as well but there has no action and only keep getting false commitments which makes it even more frustrating. Colin, appreciate you escalating this further up. We have been on the street since the begining of the year , more than anything its a safety issue now as its so dark at night when you get on the street ( Etherington Way). A clear response would be appreciated rather than giving a false hope. Lets hope we get the street lights working before christmas regards, Rajnish |

RajnishMolly...have you thought about showing up at the offices of the Engineering Department first thing in the morning if they are ignoring you and not returning your calls? We did that a few years ago about a shed that was placed too close to our property line and resulted in flooding. Had them out the next day. |

Thanks Kamato for the suggestion I guess we will need to take that step now. It really surprises me that no one is able to identify the issue and get back with a firm response. Anyhow , will visit the engg. dept. cheers Rajnish |

Hi RajnishMolly and other posters I received an email back from Town staff today and they have worked out the details with Mattamy and the two sub-contractors involved to activate or repair the lights in these two phases. Crews will be working the next few days to have the lights on later this week or early next week. Have checked the street and noted the six lights out between Ockerman and Sales court including the corner at Merkley to staff and they and I will be ensuring all the lights are on as soon as possible next week. Man I WISH we had that problem! I've noticed that our house NEVER gets dark. The bedrooms at the front of the house have the streetlights. The back of our house backs on to other houses, and between outside lights left on, security lights coming on all night (not ours), and the general glow of Milton, it never seems to get dark. We have blinds and curtains on the windows, with both closed there is still a glow that lights up the room. |
