Post subject:  pls recommend restaurant for parent's 40th anniversary

My parents are celebrating their 40th anniversary next year and we want to have a dinner party for them at a restaurant. Do you have any suggestions for restaurants with a private room or a sectioned-off area for a group of 20 – 25 people? We’re hoping to find a place that is reasonable in price. Somewhere in Etobicoke would be great since my grandfather is 99 years old and can’t really travel far (but we’re willing to book anywhere in west GTA as long as the food is good)!

Thanks

Try Alexandra's Place, one of my favourites in the MiserySauga/Etobicoke border (Eglinton between Renforth and Dixie)

Italian restaurant that's gorgeous inside, nice selection of wine, and the best part - doesn't break the bank. Give them a call.

Oh I love that place! 8) They have the craziest sandwiches I have ever seen in my life in person; I couldn't finish mine, I remember. However, I don't think it's upscale enough for the OP's special occasion, but a very good restaurant nonetheless.

Post subject:  Great Milton Choice

Hi Zoom, There are great Milton choices - why would you patronize elsewhere? Visit South 202 on Main Street. It's initmate with an upstairs that can be used for private parties and the food there is freaking amazing. My family are very picky eaters but we've never had anything but rave reviews for South 202. The service is wonderful and the owners are willing to work with you on whatever accomodations you need. Go in for a look-see or even try it of dinner with your spouse. You'll never want to go elsewhere for a special event again.

Your parents 40th anniversary that's very special,

I would suggest when looking for a place is to make sure there are restrooms on the main floor so your grandfather can easily access them.

Most places can offer set menu's for parties of this size. These menu's can make it a little more affordable.

good luck in your search

We have had family gathering at La Toscanna in the past and prefer South 202, have you thought about Lowville bistro? Another good choice.

La Petite France located at Bloor and Islington.

We went here for my fiance's, brother's rehersal dinner, and it was delicious. Great food, amazing staff and a really nice ambiance. (was probably around 15-20 of us).
