Post subject:  Santa's coming!

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.

Just wanted to let everyone know the next big event in Milton is coming on Sunday November 22 starting at 2 pm. when Santa comes to town in the Santa Claus Parade.

The parade website has been updated this week at www.miltonsantaclausparade.ca with information on entries, volunteers, parade route and theme. You can apply on line as the entry list is filling rapidly and the deadline is November 2nd or when the limit of 60 entries is reached.

The Burlington Teen Tour band is back leading Santa in the parade and the committee has been arranging new bands and attractions for this years parade. You can see some of the photos from last years parade on the web site.

The committee is looking for volunteers to help with the parade in positions such as banner carriers, clowns, makeup helpers, marshals and committee help which is ongoing through the year. Check the website for contact numbers and email addresses.

Entry forms are also available at the UPS store at Main and Ontario Streets.

The Parade committee is holding a mandatory Orientation meeting for all entry organizers on Wednesday November 11th at 7.30 pm in the banquet room of the Milton Sports centre on Derry road.

The committee is still also looking for volunteers on parade day to help in many positions to help make it an enjoyable event for the whole family. Check the website above for volunteer details and other information.
