Post subject:  Two questions re Logalbrook Holdings (maybe for colin b?)

Hey all (and colin)

Just curious what is going on @derry and thompson (NE side)? I know there was a public meeting re the live/work townhomes -- originally they were set to be such that the owner of the business had to reside in the 'unit' upstairs and I guess loganbrook is seeking to remove that restriction? The sign said 'Fall 2007 Occupancy'. I'm pretty sure they are going to miss that, and given they have only recently started excavating and dug a single foundation (2-3 to go), I'm not sure if they'll make fall 2010!

So my questions are:
A> Generally whats been the history of this property?
B> Did they already sell these units, where did (if ever) they have a sales office (perhaps they sold under a different name then loganbrook?
C> What was the answer to their request for a variance?

Hi Devious

Sorry for the delay.
In answer to your three questions.

A> The 40 unit live/work complex of four buildings was approved in January 2008 (see attached technical report)

B> I understand some of the units have been sold as I have met some of the owners. You can call the number on the sign to find out more information.

C> No I do not have the results of the Committee of Adjustment meeting. The minutes are approved and posted after the next meeting on November 19th at www.milton.ca under the Committee of Adjustment. The units were approved by Council as owner occupied for both the residential and main floor work area. Planning staff will have made recommendations to the committee regarding this application which I will be interested in seeing as well.

Will let you know if I hear more on this subject.
