Hi robi
You can find the subwater shed study information under the sherwood survey section of the alpha list on the home page of milton.ca including other studies and maps of the area including woodlots, and storm water management ponds (SWMP) and other information as well under the Official Plan headings.

The Town will be conducting more public meetings together with the Region under the strategic plan and official plan review meetings later this spring (check the Champion and Compass for ads as well halton.ca) The plan for all development area is for zero run off during storms with a slow release from ponds similar the current hawthorne village and industrial areas north of Highway #401.

Together with extensive tree planting for shading the ponds similar to the 16 mile creek valley by Laurier Ave and Commercial Street the water quality and temperature should be improved through the area by natural processes as long as people do not pollute the storm water with garbage and flushing toxic chemicals down their driveways etc.
Colin Best
Local & Regional Councillor
Wards 2 & 4

ps. you can see new ponds being created on the south side of Main Street west and along the east side of Tremaine road to handle any increase in runoff.
