Hi all,
I've read all the threads, and even spoke to a couple of you quite a few months ago, but I'm now finally ready to get started. This post is for basement framing only. I just don't have the time to do it myself this time around.

The purpose of this post is two-fold:

1) as an RFP for 3 of you to quote on, including availability and turnaround time, (I have floorplans ready - looking for wood construction only) and

2) for homeowners to provide a review on framing work they've had done by these folks. (feel free to PM if you prefer to keep private)

Zeesh's wiki is empty, so I'll cc him if you allow.

Thanks everyone - looking forward to supporting local business.

What are the rules for bumping your own request for opinions and services, outside of the Ads section? :)

Hi Fred,

Before you start your basement project look at this guys web page, he has a lot of idea's you may want to consider doing before, you frame your basement in.

http://greensburg101.spaces.live.com/default.aspx

Just click photo's and you will see different projects he has done with step by step instruction on how to do them.

Some of his projects are very interesting and will save you money in the long run.

Tim's site.. thanks, I've been there lots of times comparing his work to things I've done in the past. He's done some great stuff!
My plans are all done and good to go, and a framer is a trade I'm missing. (drywaller potentially, too)

You may want to start be getting any cracks injected, even if they haven't leaked yet.

I've got a guy for you.
good end result, and fast.
And was happy to start at 7:30am on weekends too!
He was in and out in 3 days (900 sq ft area in my bsmt framed.) He is a professional framer, but affordable too. (Conor McConville, UnitedCustomFraming here on the villager)

I can also recommend another guy that's doing other work for me, who is local, and has been fastastic to work with (Dave King - D&R Renovations here on the Villager) he does more gerenal reno stuff - good skills in many different areas.

PM if you'd like more details on either guy.
