Pets are true members are our family, so sorry to hear that you lost your dog. Many "kudos" to you to have someone hit your dog and drive off but you still write such a nice, positive message about the others involved, it was truly touching.

So sorry to hear. I adore labs, so I thought I'd send my condolences too, and I couldn't imagine not stopping either if I saw a dog in distress.

Trust the process....the person who hit Dakota and didn't stop will get his/hers someday. I believe in karma.

I will give our lab an extra big hug today. I am so sorry for your loss but also very thankful that he wasn't all by himself when he passed away.

Wishing you lots of strength these next few weeks!

Your post has brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for your loss!! I always fear that something like this will happen to our dog. He has run out the front door before, and it terrifies me every time...

To the person who talked about karma, I agree. I am a firm believer that those who do harm will get theirs some day. What goes around, comes around. I hope they live with the guilt of not stopping...forever. What an awful thing to do, especially at this time of year.

Hugs to you and your family during this very difficult time.

You have lost a member of your family - and for that I am so deeply sorry .... I know that no words will bring your dog back - but my heart aches for you and your family.

What awful news. So sorry to hear about your loss. We love our dog like she is our child. May the kindness of the Season help you through this time. Remember all the happy times....labs bring lots! We will give our Golden an extra big hug today in memory of your dog.

PS-Karma will be a b*tch to the hit and run driver.

Troy & Sarah,
My condolences for your loss, I can only imagine your pain.

I hope you are doing ok in this incredibly difficult time.

I think it was an absolutely despicable act to for the person who hit your dog to simply drive away, a real coward, but i'm sure Karma will teach them that lesson in due time.
