Clean and probably adds about 10,000 scratches in the process.

the lowest cost one that I've come across is at the Petro at the intersection of Main and Bronte. It is $3.99 if you put in gas. Incidentally gas is always 0.01 cheaper there too.

Having said that it is a very old car wash and quite grimmy and beat up looking. The Fibre strips used to clean your car looks like it's 20 years old.

In the end it does get your car clean though and that's what counts.

maybe good for a 20 year old beater, just be warned:

They increase price to $4.99 in the winter months.....

That car wash must be at least 20 years old....

So is there a good touchless around. My experience with them has not been great. Some don't even properly dry your car.

Can you please list some locations in Mississauga? I'd like to take my car out for a wash :) Are they mannual washes (hand car wash), or automated ones?

There are a few in Sauga:
- Brittania and Mavis (Behind the Futureshop plaza I believe)
- Dundas and Mavis
- Tomken and Eglinton
(there may be some more, but these I know off the top of my head)

Thanks Sharaz. Are these locations ... $2 coin wash (manual ones) or actual drive through automated washes?

Hi Rino,

I'm pretty sure they are of the $2 variety (I've never used one myself, but the lineups to use it at times suggest that it is).

I didn't realize until a friend told me, but at the Petro Canada on Thompson/Derry, the automatic car wash can do both touchless or brush wash, so I've used the facility twice already. The touchless doesn't clean all that well, but at least most of the salt gets washed off. Today I chose the Premium Wash option with the waxing. Don't know if the wax makes a difference or not, but yeah, for anyone who wonders, that Petro does do touchless!

The thing I always hate about touchless car washes is that they never adequately clean the rear of a car ... if you have a hatch/wagon/suv/van it's 10x worse.

Yeah, I notice the most road and salt residue on the back of my car too even after the wash, but I still would rather take a car that's only half-ass clean than risk getting scratches from those unruly brushes.

I decided to do a wash today because the roads Thompson Rd south of Derry was clean, so I went through the wash, bought the wax package, and then drove home and garaged it right away. 8)
