The last two weeks our mail delivery has been terrible, we've hardly gotten anything, and we're expecting quite a few things. And we'll go 2-3 days with no mail at all, which is very unusual.

I wanted to check and see if anyone else is experiencing any "issues".... Our mail delivery has been very sporadic (live in the Ferguson/Clark area), we can go for days without any mail and then receive a lot all at one time. I know it's been a busy time for Canada Post - but we've never experienced it like this before. I've also had quite a few things lost in the mail (things I was expecting to receive). Is anyone else having any issues?
We live in the same area as you and know exactly what you mean. There are frequent days where I can tell the mail carrier has decided to 'skip' delivering the mail.

I don't think I've lost things in the mail (although hard to tell I guess) the main issue is with the sometimes skipped delivery days.

It's been awful. Twice we've spoken to the post office and twice they've told us they're overworked, once (this week) they told us the mail-carrier slot in our area was now vacant. Uh, hello, business process? In this economy, they're short on hirees? The other WEEK we got a mail key for compartment "B" for a parcel, tried to use it, it didn't fit, checked the key and on the side there was masking tape (probably from one of the last few people who got it) saying: THIS KEY DOES NOT FIT THE BOX. Ignored.... we took it to the post office and they didn't even apologize. I bet someone else gets that key again next time for the same box. Our book is still in there, by the way, they were going to deliver a key that worked to our box but they never have.... 2 weeks and counting. It's OK. They're "doing the best they can."

We keep getting mail for an address on the adjacent street to us. I am sure someone else is also getting our mail

I have pick up on Bennett and I'm pretty sure this happens to me and has done since I moved in Oct 2008. Albeit I don't pick up my mail everyday, but some days I'll check and I have nothing then 3 days later I check and my box is overflowing. Not sure if that's just how my mail comes, or if it has something to do with Canada Post?

We had a problem with outgoing mail actually. Twice, cheques have not reached their intended destination when mailing out from HVE mailboxes.

Mail delivery has been spotty lately in our area (Clark/McNeil) as well, we can go through a string of days with nothing & then a full box on the next day. Last week we were expecting a package and when got the 'key' for the storage box, it was for the wrong box (it was empty). We had to file a complaint with Canada Post as it was likely we'd never catch the deliver guy. We finally got the right key the other & got of package.

The people who deliver mail to the boxes are contracted out by canada post, not actual employees of the post office , and I can imagine it must be hard on cars etc , gas to deliver the mail, they probably do not get compensated for wear and tear on vehicles or gas, its probably part of the contract
