Trane is a very good make. American Standard and Trane are the same, but AS is cheaper in price.

York isn't on your list but I've heard a lot of good things about it and experienced it myself how quiet it is! Don't know about pricing, though.

My cousin is in the business and sold me a Rheem. Good value. He told me to run away from Trane. They up and left Canada about 10 years ago and have recently come back. They screwed over all their dealers and people who bought them by leaving and only shipping parts from the US with a 10-14 day delivery ETA. Not very good for business.

American Standard, hands down!

I have one and am so happy I got it. So quiet compare to left side neighbour's Lennox and the right side neighbour's goodman.

Call Craig from fourSeasonsComfortInc. The best price and service! I've did all the research during my shopping for an A/C and I've compared many A/C companies out there. None can compare to Craig's service and price. You can find cheaper else where but beware, once they get your money you can't get a hold of them again. Craig is always there to answer any question I have after the install and alot of people on this forum have went with Craig.

Give him a call 416 524 7228, you will not be disappointed. :D

Hi LadyBoss, I had bought a model called a Bryant. No problems over 4 summers so far.

For what it's worth, in the house I lived in where I grew up, we had a Lennox unit from the 1970s that worked every single year into the mid-2000s.
