Mattamy does clean them.

Judging from the fact that no duct cleaning guys drive around the newly closed houses, I would say Mattamy does a pretty good job at that. At other builders sites, the dusct cleaning guys will come to you as you unload the moving truck.

There is no need for duct cleaning for atleast a year after moving as Mattamy does clean the duct before moving. I am saying this through experience with my existing Mattamy home. Although I cleaned the duct after a year and half, we did not get much dust from it.

If you look on your schedule A. Duct leaning is part of your contract. If Mattamy does not follow through, it could cause them major problems.

My sister also has a mattamy and had no problems. The best thing to do is check the filter of your furnace/aircleaner after a wks/days. If it is dirty you know they did not do a good job. If you are unhappy with the duct cleaning...just call...that was what we were told at Mattamy U.
