Thanks for the heads up.

A splash pad in the Vista park would have been nice.

There is a splash pad in the East park.

I submitted my votes to the town today:

East- concept 2
West- concept 3

What is everyone else hoping to see?

It seems to me that all concepts have the same amenities. However, the location of the parking lot is different. I think Concept #1 makes the most sense given that it keeps cars off of the side road (Porch Gate) to access the parking lot. The more cars that are kept on Scott the better.

If you are wondering I don't live on Porch Gate. I just see this as common sense.

Thanks Zhamid for posting.

I actually like concept 1 for the East Park

I feel that parking off Scott is the best, it keeps the small streets from getting traffic that is not necessary. Plus it put's the play area at the back of the park, in my eye's it is safer on a quite street away from the busy street. It also offers the children a safe place for open play between the park and sports field

I do not like the placement multi purpose court in concept 2 to close to the busy road, basket balls can easily be accident thrown or roll into on coming traffic

For the West park i like concept 2

Mainly because Vista is suppose to be a more "green neighborhood" more grass less pavement is what was sold to us... Concept 2 seems to have the least amount of pavement therefore keeping it more green, keeping the park along side with the look we are suppose to have in this neighborhood.

I was also wondering the same thing- which concept was chosen for each park and when can we expect them to be built? Is it still on for 2011? :)

Hi buttafly77

The final concept has not been selected yet but should be coming to council later this spring for approval and tenders to construct in 2010 and completion in 2011. See the attached link for details on the concepts and park information.
