my silly cousin wants to buy a new TV and a PS3. But she wants to find a place that will defer payments interest free...

I saw BB and FS has a 90 day thing.... who else has something like that?

You have to be very careful and read the fine print. One late payment by 1 day near the end of final payment, even though you have been on time all along and whoopty, they will present you with a BIG fat bill for ALL the interest you will owe them at some crazy rate like 26%. Thats what the big pond scum corporations bank on! (You being late a payment later down the road).
Buyer beware!
Best advice I was ever given is not buy any luxury until you have the money first. Otherwise you might be giving your hard earned cash to someone else. :wink:

Audio Video 2001 has a 24 month thing (or they did last year), I can't remember if they carry PS3's though.

The Bay has 24 month deferred payment, no interest, no deferral fee. Of course, you have to make sure you pay it off by the due date. I'd pay it off a couple of months before the due date, just to be on the safe side.
I don't see anything wrong with this, even you have all the money upfront, why not pay it after 2 years? Or, you can save it again during the 2 years.

She is very good At making payments, so I don't have to worry about her paying any interest.

She just want to get a decent tv and Bluray player. But can't afford the $2100 for the combo.

The Shopping Channel has "easy pay" where you can spread the payments out and only pay tax and shipping with the first payment. They sell lots of brand named items (TVs for sure..not positive about PSPs)

Just make sure she doesn't pay "admin fee" - which is typically how the retailer makes money. When they have a "don't pay for 6 months or 12 months, no interest" payment plan it usually comes with a fee that varies from $40 to $100 - up front. Even though the retailer claims that there is no interest, the admin fee is basically your fee for using their money. I'd rather shorten the time (i.e. 3 or 6 months) and opt NOT to pay the admin fee.
