Can anyone recommend a 108 inch HD projector for a basement home theatre system? It is for a friend. I know there are lots of tech savy people here. Thanks Matt |

What's his budget? The best bang for your buck is still the Optoma HD70 in my opinion, even though that unit is almost 5 yrs old. Native is 720p, but it also handles 1080i and 1080p GREAT for the money spent, under a thousand bucks. Of course, you can spend a LOT more, $2500, $3000, $5000.. it all depends what he's looking for. If he wants to see it in action, let me know, I could arrange

Personally I have seen the Panasonic cinema projector.. the image is amazing.. https://panasonic.ca/english/audiovideo ... /index.asp and a little advise, 2000 lumens is WAY to bright for a basement... don't worry about the brightness of a projector, concentrate on contrast and colour management technology |

That's a GREAT choice in the $2500-3000 range for sure. I definitely agree on your comments about the specs as well. |
