Sweet! So my 2 year old son can work in Toronto when he's 23!!! What a joke.

What happens if we don't make it past 2012? Isn't the world ending? :) lol

Interesting read, thanks! :)

All those numbers are using today's pricing.

Add 2% inflation/yr on that for 21 yrs, and you're back up to $247/month, if you want to be accurate about it.
Suggesting they should eventually lower the price of a monthly pass to $163 is a little misleading.

What I'd LIKE to see here is how this information compares to the region's population growth plans over the next 20 yrs.
A new station will also have to be opened to the west as well, Steeles and Peru perhaps? How much would that cost?

And will the trip times improve once Hazel's speed limitation is lifted? Sure, there's a good chance she might still be Mayor in 2031, but you never know.

Hi Andrew:
Thanks for providing the info. All I can do is laugh at MetroLinx plans. We can spend a billion dollars on 4 day security plans for use less people who will yapp and go away, but we can't fund our transit infrastructure in need that would relief the traffic congestions on 401 and other major routes :)

Question for you:
Even after what happened with your last petition - I mean how it was handled by executives at MetroLinx and Go Transit - you still think this petition will work?

Not sure if it will work or not, but I still signed it :) I support the cause wholeheartedly!! All the best!

Regards,
-Riaz

To add to what you're saying, governments cry poor, they blow $1 billion on eHealth, $1 billion on G8/G20, and we have over-priced public transit, clogged roads, no hospital expansion, and a ballooning deficit. Then they ask us to pay more: HST, health premium, public transit fares, smart meter electricity rates. Seems to show they have a tax and spend problem.

And yet people STILL vote Liberal!?!?
