Here is the research that i did on AC prices. I did not post this in the Group Buy section b/c this is not a group by...just sharing my info.

10 Seer 2 Ton (approx 1 Ton for every 1000 sq. feet of your home)
You need to add 7% GST

Convertible Air 1486.00 +59.00 for brackets
Meadowville Heating and Air 1800.00
Ultra Comfort 1499.00
Goldlight 1800.00
Sears- 2200
Air Tempright- Rude people who will not give you a quote over the
phone and made it sound like it was a total
inconvienience that i even called!!!!

Hi Tech Air- 1500....but gave me this long story going
something like "Ohhh your moving in June.....Its and
extra 10% on top of that price at least....the prices of
Freon units are going up......."

Air Tech- 1500
About Pure Air- 2100 to 2350

Convirtible Air wants a 100.00 deposit and the rest is due when they install it. If you do not want to go into the store they will mail you something that you can send the deposit in, through the mail. Oh....and they will be at the home show at the EX April 7-16th so many of the 10-12 seer will go at the show......

Hope this helps someone......

The deposit thing for Convertible Air is not true.

Call and ask for Sandy, he is the President.

He mailed us info and DIDN't make us give a deposit.

He even let me post date the cheque a week (because I was concerned about something on the contract, and wanted to wait for him to mail me another). So, we post dated it until after the info. arrived!

Laurie

I spoke with Eddie and he said they would like a deposit because i dont move into my home until June 15th and since i want a 10 seer unit and they are trying to get rid of them at the homeshow this weekend they will need one. If i was going to move sooner and they could install it before June they would not need a deposit....
Its only 100.00 no big deal........
thanks for the info though.
