Great pics HHI. What's that bird, is that a Peregrine Falcon?

Edit: it's probably a Cooper's Hawk. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooper's_hawk

You can see in the second one, he has spotted that fascia nail working it's way out, which will lead to premature failure of that piece :o

Thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty new to photography, so it's mostly blind luck it turned out so well :).

It was taken with a Nikon D5000 camera with a 35mm f/1.8G lens that I just picked up recently to play around with.
