For anyone interested in eating local and sustainability. Laurier University in co-operation with the Town is holding another of their lectures tonight in the meeting room at the Beaty Library on 4th line from 6.30 pm to 8 pm. You can register online at the attached link and admittance is free.

Personally I'd find this lecture quite interesting in a historical perspective to understand things like the current Tea Party movement down south. History and Social Sciences is one of Laurier's current strengths so it makes sense they'd be offering them as part of their lecture series. I would also have loved to have made tonight's lecture as it's a subject that I'm quite interested in. I think what they are offering is great. Broad range of subject matter to cater to the wide variety of interests in the community and also to connect with the community at large.

The power point presentation should be posted on the Town web site www.milton.ca later today. Interesting presentation showing where are food comes from and the costs associated with the current food system.
