Ever why people drive so slow on the 401 when there isn't even an accident around?

Well it's because they have never seen deer, let alone 8 white tail deers :!:

I snapped a couple of pictures between Mavis & Mississauga road travelling slowly @ 80km/hr April 11, 2006. This was the only one that turned out OK.
Disclamer: This was done by a highly trained amature. Please do not try this!
I seen some more at the same place a couple days later, but I was travelling with the family, much too fast and the camera was not out

Tim

This is the most busy highway around North America, which makes it zoo. Most common animal - moronass urban_us.

Is this really tht busiest highway in NA? I would have thought LA or something would have beaten it.

HI Matt,

It is indeed the busiest - read below, from wiki:

"The 401 is widely considered to be North America's busiest highway, with an estimated Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) of over 425,000 in 2004, between the Weston Road and Highway 400 interchanges in Toronto. This surpasses the Santa Monica Freeway in Los Angeles, and several Interstate freeways in Houston, Texas. Due to its triple use as the main trade, commuting and recreational corridor in Ontario, 24-hour traffic volumes can exceed the 500,000 level on some days"

Do you ever NOT have the camera with you?

Paul

Uhhhh, wouldn't you like to know Paul

Yeah, if the middle lane is free and I'm behind someone in the fast lane and they don't understand why my left signal light is on, I'll pass them via the middle lane.

Tim

that's too funny...I have seen these deer there several times before....(yes I see things while driving, doing my makeup, on the phone and answering blackberry messages!!)

However, I've never seen so many there all at once, only ever 1 or 2....
Nice shot, Tim!!
and not even blurry!!!

Jessica :)

LOL, you should have seen my other ones. Lots of sun light and shot of the cell phone charger.

Yeah, I had to put down my paper and do a double take, open up my camera bag, set the camera to fast motion, turn on the view finder, not hit other cars, get the right angle, zoom in all at the same time
