Hi Andy,

I buy lots from the US - it depends who the courrier is who gets teh product shipped. In general the customs duties consists of :

1 - GST / PST - will add 15% of the product value to your goods...
2 - Brokerage Fee - for some companies (fedex?) i believe this is as high as $50 - but regardless of the amount - if it's for a $10,000 item, o a $10 item, it's still $50.

I believe that's about the gist of it.

Andrew.

The 100% best way is to get it sent to you Via USPS (US Postal Service) Very low rates. If the seller will label it as a gift, even better!!!

I bought a $90 US compass, free shipping to Canada and UPS charge me $60 total to get my package. That was a 200 dollar compass!!

Be careful and do your home work. Anopther option if you have friends or family in the US is to get it shipped there and they can bring it up for you free!

Matt

you can have it labelled as a return item. you should then avoid duties. brokerage fees may still apply these could be 30 - 50 dollars. The USPS would be the best w3ay to avoid brokerage fees.
