I am looking to buy a central humidifier for my new home. We looked at Honeywell 225 or 265 model but still confused. Which one is better??? Any idea or Suggestions??

Thanks in Adavance..

If your home is larger then 2700sqft I would go with the larger one. The difference in the 2 units is that the 225 is a 12 GPD "gallons per day" and the 265 is a 17 GPD

Here is a link to the humidifiers you are looking at.

Honeywell has the worse Humidistat I have ever seen in 17 years of business. The 24V solonoid fails just as often, even with out hard water.
I would reccomend the Generalaire 900m.

I installed a honeywell humidifier onto the furnace - it took about 2 days (probably 10 hrs complete labour).

Great investment - air is much more breathable in the house. The biggest problem is finding a place to put the housing - I ended up putting it right where the AC coils are but was careful not to punch a hole in them.

Ok maybe not 10hrs but it was definately over a period of two days. Never cut into my duct work or tapped the water-line before. Its definately not a 1hr job.
