| Post subject: | Ceramic Tile Issues |
Well we've been in our home for just over 3 years. We've been having ongoing issues with our ceramic tiles throughout the house. They fired the super/contractor who built our house just after we moved in - thought that would paint a bit of the picture with respect to some of the problems we've experienced. To make a long story short - Mattamy has agreed that yes there is a long record of tile issues in our house and finally agreed they want to fix it once and for all. So they came out last week (2 of them) and looked at everything and advised they're pushing to have all the ceramics pulled and re-installed, but know they'll get some resistance from Sterling Tile. Today they came back with a manager from Sterling Tile, boy was it disgusting. They were arguing back and forth on this and that, this is Mattamy's fault no this is Sterling's fault. Boy o boy They just need to sort out who's responsible - Mattamy or Sterling Tile? They tried pointing the finger at us cause we finished our basement however it was done after the suggested 2 year mark, besides how could that have any effect on the tiles throughout the house Gman |

In our master bath shower, on the one shower wall that is the sink on the other side of the wall, we are having major lifting and cracking issues. I'm going to have to retile that small little wall.....Just poor workmanship that most likely water got underneath and has now lifted the section. I am also having a problem where I think it is rust is leaking down the middle of my shower door underneath the little wall there and onto the shower floor. It has now stained it all, not even bleach is removing it.... Anyone with a similar problem like that?? Any ideas on how to fix it?? Warranty is not an option as we've been in for just over 4yrs...... Jessica |
