not that another glowing review of MDH is needed, but here's my experiance:
i delivered my first son in Trilium Hospital in mississauga (before we moved to milton). while my OB and the nurses were great - the big hospital was a hard place to rest. lost of "codes" over the p.a., and i couldn't get a private room cause they were all taken. so my husband couldn't sleep over.
my second son was delivered by Dr.Cvetic in MDH. she (and all her colleuges at that office) was wonderfull. since 4 of us were delivering that night and there were only 3 nurses (who were also great) she ended up acting as my nurse for my labour. i guess since i was only there for 2 hrs before noah was born, i was in the least need of a full time nurse.

i doubt an OB in a bigger hospital would have paid so much attention to me... they just show up to catch the baby.
the big difference was after the baby was born - the maternity ward was so quiet and relaxing! i loved being there.
the only draw back of a smaller hostpital is that the anesthesiologist is only on call at night (large hospitals usually have one there 24/7). so if you want an epidural and you end up in labour in the middle of the night (don't we all!).. you may have to wait an hour or so. which meant i didn't have time to get one. the nurses were smart enought not to tell me that until
after noah was born
anyway - all the best with your baby! it will be a wonderfull experience!
