It has been a interesting observing the metamorphosis of this site since it's inception almost two years ago. There has been a very steady erosion of respect and tolerance and I find myself shaking my head in disbelief more than nodding my head because of some of the great contributions that have been made by many of the members. I think we all understand that as a community grows, so does the diversity of opinions and people. I think what we all need to do right now is take a step back...take a deep breath..and begin to return to the roots of what Rick along with all those others who stood in line for days and bonded and created this site to help each other and grow as a community. I had a real sense of pride that this disscussion board started because it is truly unique and encouraged people who were looking for advice on their home ownership journey to use the information and experience of members here. I can't say at this moment in time I would want to invite anyone to be on this site right now. As we approach 1,000 members, with 1,000 opinions from varying backgrounds let us refocus our comments on building ONE community.

Hawthorne Village is just a marketing concept. When the homes are built. It is the people who move in it that create the community itself. When I say ONE community I'm not referring to one particular race, ethnicity, yet Hawthorne Village is comprised of people from varying backgrounds, religions, ethnicities. To answer your question, we all get to decide what community we live in.
