hi all, i decided to lighten the mood a little here. so...how about those oilers? just wondering if there are many(or any) people from Edmonton around. i remember at least one person from St.Albert. The home of the worlds best donair, remember :wink:

They have always been one of my fav teams....kind of a rough and gritty team that gets the job done.
Good on them for getting this far....I'd love to see the cup come home to Canada!!

I grew up in Edmonton, and back when I was a little girl, my dad and the whole extended family would get together and watch the Oilers play (that was when Gretsky was still on the team). Kinda dates, me hey? :p

We moved to Toronto when I was ten, so it's been a while - but I was very happy to hear they made it into the final four even so!!! :):) :lol:

GO OILERS GO!!!!

Have been a huge fan through good and bad...even cold times(it was cold sitting through that outdoor game!!!!Well worth it though!)

Could Stanley be coming back to Canada???

:D they're playin tonight against Anaheim at 9:00! CBC.

I love the later games! It gives us time to do what we need to do before the game then chill out with munchies in front of the teli. :wink:

enough time go get up to the cottage, ensure all is working technologically wise....hit the beer/liquor store.....and definately chill with the game!!!

Who could think of a better way to spend a CANADIAN long weekend, as a true red-blooded HOCKEY FAN!!!!!!! YYYAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

(gee...Can you TELL I need a vacation??!!) :lol:

the only bad thing about the late games out west...is my son is a DIE HARD Flames fan.....so he didn't get to stay up to see much of their series.....we did let him stay up as much as we could....but even on the weekend games he managed to have a tryout the next day...oh, well...the hardships of being a Western hockey fan.....

Isn't this salary cap a great thing for small market teams!
