I appreciate the enthusiam for the signs guys
As it was stated it IS against the law to tamper with the signs. There are bylaws we have to live by as candidates as well and if signs go up on private property we must have the permission of the property owner to do so. Some signs have gone up on lawns (albeit the town portion) but it makes it look like the homeowner shows support for that candidate when in fact they dont.
If youve had a sign put up on your lawn without your permission, call the candidate and have it removed. Sometimes its a mistake but just make sure.
Sign damage happens during campaigns...sometimes it can be people with too much time on their hands...whatever the case may be.
Its still wrong and Im very thankful to those of you who reported the damaged signs, and for those who are keeping an eye out for all election signs in their area.
Just a few more weeks to go...then theyll be gone.
