Closest is in MiserySauga near Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe, but it's too packed. Go to the Brampton one (google them for the exact address. It's in the Hurontario/Bovaird area) since it's really quick and efficient there, and that's where I got mine done in the spring.

I went to the passport office in Mississauga on Friday and it was WAY too busy. I then drove to Georgetown and was the only person in there.

My husband works for passport canada. Don't bother going to mississauga, lines are too long. Go to the Brampton office. If you can go during the day say after lunch around 1:30 is a good time. dont go close to 4pm or on saturday, its too busy. And for the photo, just go to shoppers or walmart, no need to go to a more expensive photographer... hopes this helps

Good to know about G-town. I had no idea you could get it done there or that place existed. Sneaky how they do not advertise you can do that there on the Passport website.

I just found it burried on Passport Canada, according to them it takes 20 days instead of 10 from a passport office since they are considered a receiving agent.

Once again my huband works for passport canada. There is no passport office in Georgetown. You are only able to drop off your application at the service canada centre location. If you go to a service canada centre it could take up to 4 weeks to get the passport, if you drive the extra 10 minutes to Brampton (40 Gillingham drive) to the actual passport office, you will get your passport no later than 10 business days... Also, if you go in mid-afternoon, it is the best time to go... The brampton office shorter wait-times than mississauga...

I wasn't in a rush for mine so I don't mind waiting the four weeks, if it actually takes that long. It was nice being the only person in there and it was a Friday before a long weekend.

There is a Service Ontario location in Milton on Highpoint Drive (Hwy 25, North of 401) but they don't do passports. They do however do Healthcard renewals just as an FYI

For my passprt renewals I went to the Service Canada location in Oakville at 117 Cross (Across from the GO Station). No line-ups, no wait and got my passport in less tehn 2 weeks.

As for photo's, I always go to Milton Photo (in the mall). I know too many people who have had their passport picture from Walmart returned because it wasn't done properly.
