Never heard of a 6 month inspection. It *might* be legit, you never know, but it sounds fishy coming out of the blue like that. You should call the Mattamy warranty office yourself before letting anyone in ... just in case it's someone who wants to case the joint...

If you agree to the 6 month inspection, does it take away your right to the one year inspection?

We had a 6 month walk through as well and it didn't affect our 1 year inspection.

Sounds like a new initiative to get their customer satisfaction ratings back up.

I can shed some light on this "inspection".

This is really a called a "Mid Year Appointment".

It is a visit to the home to check a few things and to see if you are happy with everything in the home.

This is not a detailed, systematic, and independent inspection of the home.

Hmmm, "walk through" is definitely a better term than "inspection", but Mattamy refers to this as a Mid Year Appointment.
