you have to wait for "bulk"collection days for them to take the underpad (or any big stuff like that). check you're collection calender for when it is ... we're at my parents right now, but i can check mine when we get back tomorrow. i have some stuff i'd like to get rid of from the garage, but everytime i put it out my husband or son pull it back in the garage!

as for the tack strips, you can always try putting the box in garbage bag. if it's too heavy, though, they might leave it...
