All of them are taking care of their kids and don’t really care about you. Which is natural. But this isn’t right to block driveway anyway, no matter if here is "No Parking Sign" or not. They know it since they have their G/G2/G1 driver license. Why not to file about it to the parking enforcement service?

i would mention it to your neighbour first - i'm sure she can remind her clients that you need to get out of your driveway in the morning. if that doesn't work, you can talk to the parking athority, but i doubt they'd be willing to hover there waiting for them to block your driveway.. i assume each of them only parks there for ~10min or so..

annoying none the less! :(

You could be a real prick and ask them if they are zoned to run a day-care out of their home.. :)

There is different zoning for residential, retail, industrial, etc.. They are all designed differently for their types of traffic.

You don't need a zonin to run a daycare at home if you have less than a certain number of children attending (including your own)

How about you say nothing to your neighbour and next time you are blocked in, run and grab your keys and try to pull out of your driveway. Go to the door of your neighbour infront of the violator and ask them to move their car as you are late for an appointment. That way there is no disputing what is going on and hopefully people will be more curtious??

Just talk it over with your neighbors., A nice calm, civilized conversation never hurt nobody. I'm sure they don't even realize what's going on will surely apologize...

Just my 2cent Dr phil advice.

Iagree! As a home daycare provider, i would be so embarassed to hear that this conversation was going on and i was not made aware of it. Just go to your neighbour and explain what has been going on and insist that there be no parking in front of your driveway at ALL at ANY time with her daycare parents. If that conversation does not appear to have happened with the parents, feel free to have that conversation with the parents yourself or leave a note on their windshield while they are in the house for those 10 minutes. Hopefully all will be resolved soon...i'm sure it can be super frustrating especially if you are on a time sensitive task to get out of your driveway.

I also noticed that another writer said you would be "a real prick" if you reported someone who is taking in more children than she should. How would reporting possible child neglect make you "a real prick", as the gentle writer so eloguently put it?

Um ya.. I said nothing of the sort. I said ask them if they were zoned to run a day-care out of their home.
